Feng liu yi dai (2024)

Fragmented long-term portrait of a changing China. In his latest work, master director Jia Zhang-Ke reflects on his artistic creation spanning more than two decades. From scenes from previous films and newly shot material, he creates a collage of a woman who has been searching for a tracelessly disappeared love for twenty years. In doing so, she becomes a mirror of a changing society - from 2001 until today. "I believe that it doesn't really matter how large the audience is that sees my film; as long as my films can be shown in China and there is a real market for them here, it would be of great significance to me personally."
