Paris, Texas (1984)

Four years after his disappearance, the presumed dead Travis emerges in a stone desert near the Mexican border. A doctor notifies his brother Walt, who takes the amnesiac man into his upscale house in L.A. At Walt's, Travis also meets his seven-year-old son Hunter, who has been living with his uncle since his parents' separation. Travis' memories slowly return, and his reserved son slowly gains trust. Together with Hunter, Travis sets out to search for his missing wife, Jane: The beginning of an adventurous odyssey through the barren Southwest of America.
