Vatanyolu. Die Heimreise (1989)

Yusuf, who had come to West Germany as a guest worker in the 1960s, accepted a "go-home" bonus from his company—a payment that now obliges him to return to Turkey. While a dream is coming true for him, his children—born in Germany—are far from enthusiastic. His eldest son, Temel, in particular, would prefer to stay in Germany and complete his apprenticeship as a gardener.
